Joel comes from time in the Telecommunications world working on some of the largest Telco cloud projects around the world. Now back home in New Zealand and working with Red Hat as Senior Solutions Architect for platforms (Red Hat Linux, Openstack, Ansible, Virt).

Joel enjoys building custom keyboards and tinkering with Internet of Things micro-controllers and has been an upstream contributor to several open-source projects as well as being interested in the social impacts of technology on daily life.
