The most difficult part of putting in place effective DevOps or Agile practices is building great teams. Many studies have shown that building great teams is partially about building patterns of communication and discovery, and partially about growing individuals in their careers. Experience has shown me that there are some things that leaders and individual contributors can do to nurture great teams, and some things that will stop teams from functioning.
In this talk, I’ll go over a few models of team building that I’ve contributed to; how members can contribute to the success of their team , and how leaders, managers and architects can grow a collaborative, safe learning environment for teams and individuals to thrive.
