Organizations today are faced with a growing dilemma when considering whether to go all in on a single cloud or run their workload across multiple clouds. Whether the reasoning is for resiliency, to leverage the best technologies, or simply to avoid vendor lock-in, practically implementing a multi-cloud strategy requires careful consideration. Most organizations cannot reasonably execute on multi-cloud because they lack cohesive CI/CD. Others lack comprehensive data movement, which limits where workloads can reasonably run. This talk will summarize the dimensions to be considered when defining a multi-cloud strategy from the vantage point of a practitioner.
