Having worked as a developer, systems engineer and team lead in IT operations, the ideas and concepts behind DevOps are very close to my heart. As I am passionate about coding since my teenage years, I am fascinated by concepts like Infrastructure as Code, Social Coding, and cloud native technologies trying to get hands-on whenever possible. I enjoy lateral thinking and my basic premise is that we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them (Albert Einstein).
In my current role I dedicate all my energy to introducing and spreading DevOps principles and practices in the broader organization.
I am an enthusiast for everything visual:photography, movies and animations, pictograms, infofraphics, visual design, graphical recordings, UX-Design. I also like to combine these skills in crossfunctional teams to enable app development, transformation processes and last but not least communicate and teach DevOps practices in large federal organizations

As a former speaker at the DevOpsDays Zurich, organizer of the ModSecurity CRS Meetup Bern and an enthusiastic OWASP member, Franziska also has the opportunity to share her passion with others. When she isn't disassembling highly optimized regexes or automating security, she enjoys spending time with her family.

I'm all about exceptional user experiences, having a background in UX engineering, interaction design, and even game design – because software should be fun, right? Crafting inclusive interfaces in interdisciplinary teams, that work seamlessly and bring smiles to users - that's my jam! Beyond work, I'm a passionate saxophonist. I'm looking forward contributing my skills to the media team of this year's DevOpsDays, ensuring every visitor leaves with a smile.
When I started my career in the mid-80s after studying computer science, waterfall methods with long and cumbersome requirement specifications, concept and implementation phases were common in software development. Unfortunately, at the end, customers and users were often not very satisfied with the solutions delivered! Therefore, I was definitely thrilled, when I came across the Scrum method in the early 90s and further, when I read beginning of 2010 several articles about the DevOps and SAFe. For me, these methodologies and principles closed the last methodology gaps within the entire software life cycle! Since over ten years now, I have successfully managed various medium and large DevOps-oriented software development projects as well as transformations of organizations into the agile world. In my current role as an “Independent Consultant” I am supporting and coaching Swiss customers in the transformation of their project and ICT organizations into the agile and DevOps-oriented world.
