Workshop

Stop reinventing the wheel; start riding it! Bash and gnu have many powerful utilities that are re-implemented over and over again in almost every project out there.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to write bash more efficiently and understand its core principles, You will implement your custom monorepo manager during the workshop using bash and its common utilities.

This workshop assumes a node js-based monorepo that we’ll provide, but the principles apply to any language and project. A few of the things we’ll learn and use:

  1. Bash output redirects
  2. Expansions
  3. Common gnu utilities like xargs, sed, and jq.
  4. How to think in bash

Join me to learn the quirks of bash and how powerful they are.
